This coffee was grown with care in the Huila department of Colombia, in the small village of Salto de Bordones near a stunning jungle waterfall! Colombian coffee is often lauded for its hearty flavors and heavy body, and these washed Caturra beans deliver on that reputation in a big way. People often compare premium coffees to fine wines, and this coffee gives a good idea of why: a distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon tannin taste fills out the flavor profile, accented by juicy bursts of cherry tomato and a lively apple acidity. Like many Colombian coffees, this cup features a round, robust body that feels heavier than premium coffees from other regions. A cup of this delicious, substantive coffee left us warm and content, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
