Father Petronilo Martinez and son, Petronilo Jesus, manage this farm on the Mexican Border. They named their farm after the avocado trees that were planted throughout the plantation.
It is a great example of what I love in a coffee. I love a fruity punchy coffee, with plenty of tropical flavors and a long finish. When I get a washed coffee that matches that description I can drink mug after mug. El Amate has that drinkability in spades. You can focus on the juicy tropical flavors or just enjoy the sweetness and deliciousness of everything merging together. Tasty.
