About This Coffee

Variety: Heirloom

Processing: Washed

Crop Year: 2016

Origin: Sidamo, Ethiopia

Producers: Hunkute Co-op

Altitude: 1850m - 2100m

This shipment of coffee originated in Ethiopia's Sidamo region, where it was grown and processed by skilled farmers with a rich history. Heirloom coffee plants have been growing in Ethiopia for centuries, giving the plants time to develop plenty of unique characteristics, which is why Ethiopian coffee always tastes so distinct. This particular crop is a washed coffee that was dried on raised beds; the tried-and-true process for specialty coffee preparation. If coffee had a greatest hits album, an exquisite washed Ethiopian varietal like this one would probably be the headlining track. Watch out for a bold aroma and matching full-bodied flavor, with just the right amount of acidity. Coffee this good only comes from years of hard work. Thankfully all you have to do is brew it up!
