A lot of good coffees come through our doors, but we've been especially impressed by the equality of coffees coming out of the Gatare washing station. We're very excited to bring you another of their best lots! The Gatare washing station is situated in the Nyamasheke region of Rwanda, where lush valleys provide plenty of farmland for quality Bourbon coffee plants to grow. This lot was washed, soaked for 24 hours, and dried on raised beds to produce an extremely clean flavor.
A well-defined blackberry note is the leading characteristic of this cup, with some real tartness and a touch of acidity. A mellow honey sweetness provides a backdrop for this distinct flavor to play against, while a hint of florals rounds out the profile. Gatare Lot 4 is a delightful cup of coffee, and we hope you enjoy it!

Great coffee!
We usually open our coffee on Saturday morning and it’s always a treat when it goes nicely with our Saturday morning breakfast. This went well with beignets and bacon. 😋
