About This Coffee

Variety: SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, Batian

Processing: Washed

Origin: Kamoini Village, Nyeri County, Kenya

Producers:Kamoini Factory

Altitude: 1824 m

The Kamoini Factory was built in 1987 along the Ichamama River which rises in the Karina Forest. The farms benefit from rich red volcanic soils which are naturally high in phosphorus. As is traditional in Kenya once the coffee is washed it is dried on raised beds. The varietal, rich soil and altitude combine to give us the punchy flavors and the processing method gives us the clean taste that we expect from Kenyan coffees. Together they combine to make a hell of a coffee from one hell of a coffee region.
