Another year has come and gone, which means it's time for another exceptional coffee from Maria Damaris Medina’s Santa Elena farm in Colombia! We look forward to these lots every year for their consistent sweetness and clarity - and this year is no exception. The lot this year is a mix of Caturra and Castillo plants that deliver on the quality we’ve come to expect from Huila and from Ms. Medina’s coffees.
Similar to the previous lot, this coffee strikes a great balance between notes of bright orange and a more substantive, dark chocolate. Of course, there’s a floral quality in the background providing some levity - but on the whole, this is a coffee with a profile that’s composed and predictably delicious. Santa Elena is the sort of coffee that won’t overpower the rest of your breakfast - it’s an easy drinker that we just can’t stop sipping on no matter when it’s brewed. Cheers!

Tasty and well-balanced
Flavors come together well to form a cohesive whole. A bit more of an acidic bite than recent Colombians, but nothing overpowering. Good stuff.

Better by the sip
The smell post bean grind had me thinking more acidic than what the house likes. But that was wrong post brew. This is a great mix for our house. I like less citrus/floral and my smarter half like...

Bright and beautiful
This coffee is bright and acidic especially for Columbia. Very flavorful and lots of citrus when brewed on my v60. It's sure to brighten up even the dreariest Monday morning.

Good, not great
This is enjoyable, but not as dynamic as many of the other coffees Moustache has sent.
