About This Coffee

Variety: French Mission Bourbon

Processing: Washed

Crop Year: 2016

Origin: Karongi, Rwanda

Washing Station: Twumba

Altitude: 1850m

This week's coffee comes from elegant raised drying beds in the Karongi region of Rwanda. Processed at the Twumba washing station high in the mountains, these French Mission Bourbon beans are aromatic and bursting with flavor. Strong fruit notes lead out this coffee: bright citrus and mango, underscored by a more savory raisin taste. A twist of spicy chili flavor punctuates the profile, adding a dash or complexity to this brew that caught us off-guard in the best way. A lot of coffees come through our door, but this one really made an impression, and we're delighted to share it with you!

Twumba Lot 5

Taco Twumba

Not brightly fruity. More of an earthy fruity like dates or fig. The finish almost seems peppery and lingers. Very pleasantly interesting coffee.
