It's wonderful to have another coffee from Villa Clabelina roasting for the club! Villa Clabelina is the name of Hernan Prieto's farm in Antioquia that has been growing coffee for more than 50 years. This particular lot is an extended fermentation natural that was processed at Villa Clabelina by Juan Saldarriaga. Juan is a friend of Hernan's and a founding member of the Coffee Growers Association in Antioquia - he's a leader in experimental processing and naturals. Juan has been helping association members with their natural lots in addition to growing and processing his own coffees - a few of which we've also featured in the club!

Villa Clabelina #6 is an absolute knock-out of a coffee. We're tasting lively tropical notes of pineapple and mango at the outset. A well-rounded plum note provides a bit more depth without cutting through too much of the brightness. For the wild, vibrant, fruity coffee fan - this is a must brew.

Favorite so Far in 2022

Both of us said the same thing after the first day of brewing. We can taste all the flavors that the card/desciption highlighted. Very nice - really like the flavors. Nice work MCC!

Broad and tart.

It took me a long time to get to the pineapple sweetness locked in these beans, but even without that it's a solid cup. The fruitiness was very far forward, but there are good mellow bones as well: An ever-pleasing morning cup.
