Tasting Notes On the nose, aromas of orange, honeysuckle and jasmine. In the cup lush honey with a syrupy mouthfeel cut with just the right amount of tangy acidity. The medium-light roast really caramelizes the bean and beautifully accents the already sweet aftertaste.
The Abakundakawa Cooperative are a fabulous collection of coffee producers in the Gakenke District of Rwanda. They are notable for the large proportion of female members of the cooperative (45%), many of whom are widows.due to how Rwanda suffered a devastating civil war in the not so distant past. Collectives like Abakundakawa help get this region back on its feet.
