Tasting Notes: Blood oranges, dried apricots and spice. Since the 1700s Brazil has been providing beans utilized in blended coffees but as the largest coffee producer in the world the country is now jumping into the third wave single origin coffee movement (say that 5 times fast). It is now not as unusual for individual farms to feature their single origin crop with direct trade guidelines established so that the heirloom bean can be roasted to feature the story- not to just provide a single note amongst others in a blended coffee.
