Kiamugumo AA — Kenya, Kirinyaga County
The Kiamugumo factory sits in Kirinyaga County, nestled in Kenya's central highlands, and is part of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society. Around 1,500 smallholder members contribute their cherry here, and the factory takes real care with its water treatment to protect local drinking sources. After picking, the coffee is fermented 12-24 hours and then dried on raised beds for up to 13 days.
In the cup, this AA delivers a syrupy, fruit-forward experience — think Meyer lemon and cranberry brightness alongside the lush sweetness of Rainier cherry. It's the kind of Kenya that reminds you why this origin has such a devoted following.
We've had a great run with Kenyan washing stations like Kii, Gikanda Kangocho, and Rung'eto Kii, and Kiamugumo fits right into that tradition of bright, complex, beautifully structured cups.
If you love a coffee that's juicy and alive from first sip to last, this one's for you.
