Kiamugumo PB — Kenya, Kirinyaga County
This peaberry lot comes from the Kiamugumo factory, part of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga County. Around 1,500 smallholder members contribute their cherry here, and the factory takes real care with its water treatment, making sure nothing harmful reaches the local waterways that the community depends on for drinking water.
The coffee is fully washed, fermented for 12-24 hours, then dried on raised beds for 9-13 days. In the cup, you get that classic bright Kenyan character — hibiscus and red currant acidity, with a juicy strawberry sweetness that lingers as it cools.
We've loved what Kiamugumo brings to the table before with their AA lots, and this peaberry selection is a great reminder of why Kirinyaga keeps showing up in our rotation. Peaberries tend to roast a little more evenly and often carry an extra punch of intensity — this one is no exception.
Bright, fruit-forward, and deeply satisfying.
