Description:

You know we’re suckers for a juicy Kenyan, and this one? Absolute citrus bomb.

The Kii Factory has a wild history — it used to be part of the Ngiriama Cooperative Society until that was dissolved, and since 1997 it's been rolling with the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society. The factory itself is tucked within view of Mt. Kenya, which might explain the clean mountain magic happening in the cup.

Around 80 smallholder farmers bring their SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 cherries to Kii, where they get the red carpet treatment: hand-sorted, pulped, fermented overnight, then fully washed and graded. From there, the parchment hits raised beds to dry for up to two weeks under the Kenyan sun. Oh, and Kii’s all about the good stuff — they compost their coffee cherry waste and recycle pulping water to keep those coffee trees thriving. We love to see it.

Tasting Notes
Think Orange Peel, Clementine, and a splash of Aperol spritz — it’s sweet, zippy, and incredibly vibrant. Like citrus in stereo.

We’re so hyped to be shipping this beauty. Kenyan coffees like this one are exactly why we do this.

Roast seemed dark

The roast on this one was a little dark for my taste. I prefer more medium. It was hard to get all the flavor from the coffee.
