Tropical Huila — Colombia
This coffee comes from 32 smallholder producers tucked into the highlands of Huila, one of Colombia's most celebrated growing regions. The farms sit between 1,600 and 1,900 meters, surrounded by grapefruit trees, kiwi groves, and native blossoms — and that environment shows up clearly in the cup.
What makes this lot special is the processing. These producers use a double-fermentation washed method, a technique that's been quietly refined within this tight-knit community over years of experimentation. The result is a clean, expressive coffee with tropical and citrus brightness layered over delicate florals — the kind of complexity you'd expect from a Huila microlot.
We've loved exploring Colombia's diversity through coffees like El Paeso, Chiroso Carmen, and San Carlos, and this Tropical Huila fits right into that tradition of finding something genuinely exciting from the region.
A coffee that rewards patience — especially as it cools and those fruit notes really open up.
