Colombian coffee has a special place in our hearts for its consistent quality and variety of flavors. With varied topography and distinct climate zones, coffees from different parts of Colombia can have very different tastes, all of them good. These beans were grown in the Huila department at the base of the Andes, and the quality is apparent from the first sip. A full-bodied coffee if we've ever tasted one, a cup of Magdalena is silky smooth and weighty, with a touch of citrus lift to keep it from being overbearing. The main flavor note is unmistakably chocolatey, with some interesting herbal flavors throwing a bit of mystery into the mix.

Well Balanced

Not as much chocolate as the Waykan, but also not as acidic as Waykan. Overall a very well balanced coffee. Personally, I would prefer a slightly deeper roast, but still very enjoyable.

A Colombian Winner

My favorite bean so far, you know it’s going to have a nice chocolate note when you smell it before you even grind it. Looking forward to adding this to the reorder list!

Pretty good but my preferences have changed

pretty good. My first CLASSIC with MCC and I must say that I prefer the fruit forward normal subscription. This is a great coffee it just isnt my jam anymore.

Hard for me to compare as it is my first batch from Moustache. Certainly full-bodied, great tasting. In fact, I had another cup later in the day and it was still a great cup of coffee. I think most people will like the flavor and body - some chocolate with citrus.

Low acidity, very prevalent chocolate note -maybe a little too much for my taste. Very smooth.

Great Coffee

This has been my favorite so far. I love the deep roast, probably use a little more than I should for a very strong cup, but the flavor is great! Very pleased with this selection.

Very good if you like the classic profile

I’ve fallen in love with the more “fruity” profiles. I would have liked this a lot more if I had it first. Great coffee if you like the classic style.

Pretty good

Nice flavor, definite chocolate, but the "citrus" note makes it a bit too sour for our taste.

Very Very Good!!!

There’s not been a Colombian coffee that I have not liked,,,a lot! Chocolate is by far the stand out here! Extremely smooth, full body with great aroma! If you too are a big lover of chocolate notes and Columbian beans, I’d highly recommend this one! Grab it before it’s gone!

A less acidic, but not burnt or bitter flavor

It’s been a while since I’ve used a more classically roasted coffee. I usually stick to the lightly-roasted, more acidic beans. On a whim, I decided to queue up this one and loved it. The flavor is very mellow, but still rich and satisfying. If you have a roommate or SO who isn’t crazy about the typical third-wave roast, give this one a shot!

This being my first shipment will say I am beyond pleased! Still experimenting with a correct grind size...will let you know more at a later date.

Solid

We always like your coffee, but this one was a little too dark for our tastes.

Nice, but

Very pleasant and well constructed but to my palate not as complex as Asopep or San Rafael

Best Coffee Yet

As soon as I opened the bag I knew I was in for a great coffee, this bag had everything you expect in a top notch coffee. It smelled sweet, herbal, and deep and had amazing color. I have brewed this coffee in a French press, drip system, and of course my Chemex and although each cup was understandably different each cup was excellent. A+
