Coffee production started at Culpan in 1867, early on in Guatemala’s coffee history. Since then, coffee production has expanded to become one of Guatemala’s main crops, and premium specialty growers have consistently impressed the world with their exquisite coffees. The Rivas family took the reins at Culpan in 2008, and have emphasized specialty coffee production practices like patio drying and lot separation while carrying on the legacy of the farm.
This lot of washed Pacamara coffee gives off some serious summer vibes with a bright, tropical flavor profile. Keep an eye out for crisp acidity courtesy of the starfruit note and notice how well it combines with the juicy tangerine flavor to create a coffee that’s both sharp and juicy. It’s such a delight that coffee this light and playful can come from a farm with such history. We love how Guatemalan coffee culture continues to grow and evolve, and we're excited to see what they’ll be up to next.
