Crop Year: 2016

Origin: Jimma, Ethiopia

Producers: Gedey Berhe

Altitude: 1800-2100m

This delicious coffee comes to you from one of our favorite coffee-producing areas: the Jimma zone of Ethiopia. Grown on the Limmu Kossa estate, these beans benefitted from expert care and preparation. Carefully tended natural forest provides shade for the coffee trees, keeping them cool and allowing the cherries to develop slowly for a sweeter flavor. The beans are processed on-site under the watch of experienced coffee growers: washed and sun-dried over 10 days to maintain consistency bean-to-bean. Taking a cue from the organic honey that's also produced on the grounds of Limmu Kossa, this coffee is bursting with sugary sweetness. The warm black tea flavor makes for a solid base that gets punched up with bright peach and candied plum notes. A touch of lime acidity helps reign in the sugary taste, giving this cup a crisp finish that we hope you'll savor.

Best Roast Yet

This cup, from start to finish, was the best I have ever brewed. Excellent roast!

A new loyal customer

I chose the limmu kossa as a trial sample and was pleasantly surprised when I received more coffee than I was expecting but I was even more surprised when I had my first taste, this coffee has wonderful flavors of citrus, sweetness and black tea that really balance the taste and leaves no bitterness behind. You have won over a new customer, thank you.

Limmu Kossa

Great coffee. Full body and sweet with chocolate undertones. Didn't taste the peach or candied plum, but then, my taste buds are not as experienced to the degree of top coffee affectionistas.

Very smooth and a perfect cup of morning coffee. Smooth, sweeter flavor. Can taste the black tea and peach notes.

Incredible and Forgiving!

I absolutely loved these beans. The overall flavor was very smooth with an ever so subtle sweetness. This was brewed using a Chemex and tasted like perfection from the very first brew. To be honest - I think it was more related to the Coffee's own forgiving quality which made it easy to brew .

Smooth and forgiving

Pleasantly surprised by the lack of bitterness in my espresso shots, even when I was still fiddling to find the right grind. Very pleasant overall!

Light & Airy

I was having some trouble dialing this one in at first, but after some fiddling the flavors came through. Super short extraction time on aeropress gave me the best results.

Normally an Ethiopian fantactic....

But I couldn't get this where I wanted. Tried chemex at a variety of temperatures and a few times as espresso. Bright but the acidity takes it into one dimension. Would give it another try perhaps.

Still great

Almost as superb as the first batch. Less tea note now for some reason but still highly rated.

Decent Ethiopian

While not as bright/citrusy as other Ethiopians I've gotten from Mustache, it is still makes for a good cup. I've only brewed it on a V60 so far, but more forgiving/less finicky than other coffees. Possibly lacking in sharper notes than other Africans I've had, still an overall good solid coffee.

Limmu Kossa

I've had lots of 'black tea' base coffees from Moustache lately, but this one has a bit more sweetness as well. I'm happiest when the coffees keep changing.

This is my favorite one so far!

Thank you so much for this coffee. My family loves this coffee. Not too dark and not too light.
