This is a delicious washed coffee from Chelbessa washing station. It's everything you want in a clean structured washed coffee from Ethiopia. Starting off with a black tea base and finishing strongly with delicious orange citrus, with plenty to mull over in the middle with peach bitters and tropical fruit flavors.

The farmers for this washing station are meticulous in waiting for their coffee cherry to be ripe and ready for harvest. When their cherry at their farm is super ripe and sweet they harvest it and bring it (sometimes taking as long as a 2 hour trip) to the washing station for processing.

What we noticed when we cupped this coffee is the beautiful orange-like citric flavours that arouse our palates. We also found tropical fruits and peach bitters, which make us automatically think of an orange Pantone whenever we taste it!

Good first batch and curious about what comes next.

Tasty and light with a really delicate mouthfeel. Definitely tea-like but appreciated the delicacy. I did also sense some citrus.
